Join your neighbors, Cub Scouts and HP Elementary families Saturday morning, March 1, 8am - 12 noon for the Perry Park Perimeter Clean Up and MulchFest 2025! in collaboration with our friends at the Austin Parks Foundation and "It's My Park Day" IMPD!

Cub Scout Pack 59 sponsors this spring community service project and partners with the Highland Park West Balcones Area Neighborhood Association and Highland Park Elementary Scottie Sprucers!!

This year, for the first time, we will focus on the upper perimeter of Perry Park removing loose brush and spreading mulch. We will also continue to lightly prune trees and bushes for safety and forest fire prevention. We are fortunate to also partner with the Austin Parks Foundation to remove all the orderly piles of brush that we will gather -- this will make our work so much easier! The IMPD! folks will again provide us with basic tools, but PLEASE BRING YOUR:

-Wheel Barrels

-RAKES + SHOVELS

-Gloves

-Electric pole-saws and other pruning tools

-Pick-up Trucks

-Good attitude and whatever you think would be helpful!

We appreciate our fellow neighbors and Team HPWBANA taking the lead with the fall IMPD! Perry Park work day and are glad we can return the effort and keep up this great tradition of shared stewardship of Perry Park. The Pack 59 Second Grade Wolf Den will be providing coffee, water, snacks as well as helping us distribute IMPD! T-Shirts.

There is much to do so we hope to make this the biggest volunteer IMPD morning yet for Perry Park!!! Please help us plan for your helping hands by signing up here.  This is also how you can share your t-shirt size! Everyone who signs up will receive a t-shirt and several high fives from the cub scouts!
