Where's the Highland Park West & Balcones Area?

Over the river and to the hills!

The highland park west & balcones area region is the geographic area bordered on the north by 2222, on the south by 35th Street, on the west by Mt Bonnell Road, and on the east by MoPac and by Bull Creek Road between Hancock Road and 45th Street. MoPac runs through the eastern portion of this area for approximately two miles. This neighborhood area contains about 1800 residences.

The Lake

We are a suburban area within 15 minutes of Austin City Center, approximately 1800 residences strong.
Great schools.
Highland Park Elementary is our public school, consistently rated among the best in town.
Putting the "Park" in Highland Park.
Mt. Bonnell is perhaps the most famous, but we've got four great parks spanning tennis, hiking, and more.
Nature Preserve
Bright Leaf Nature Preserve is incorpoated into the largest semi-contigous natural preservation land in the country.
